Hello everyone! After several months away I am happy to announce I am back! I took some time away while I have been on one roller coaster of a journey, riddled with intense root chakra work. While working in these root energies, it drained most of my creative energy into manifesting our own “survival”. Really feeling into my own truth and aligning with it. My discomfort was telling me that I was not where I am meant to be. It’s been hard to claim to know how to inspire other women while I have been in the midst of all this work.
Our plans have changed these past few months as we go with the ebb and flow of life.
One Big Change is…
We moved. Again.
I think Ashley explained what happened in our previous living situation the best. One day I overheard her talking with my 4 year old son. He came to her with the earnest curiosity of a child and asked “Ashley why don’t you want to live with other people anymore?”
And she very patiently and gently said, “I don’t want to hurt your feelings, Saphire. It’s just that your family and my husband and I are on totally different wavelengths. And that’s not a bad thing. It just doesn’t jive as well as we thought it would.”
Even though we didn’t jive as well as we thought we would, we left Caleb and Ashley’s on good terms, wishing each other nothing but blessings.
Another Big Change…
We decided with everything that has happened with COVID and all of the travel restrictions that this might not be the right time to do a bus conversion.
The focus of our lives has changed. We instead have decided to focus on learning how to live communally as our path away from the rat race, instead of hitting the road. Now more than ever we are feeling the call to be self-sustainable.
I truly believe that the biggest mental health problem isn’t that people all have “chemical imbalances” in their brains, but rather that rampant depression and anxiety are a result of imbalances in our societies. For millions of years humans lived in small tribes, working together with people who were family. And even though we are living in bigger population groups than ever, we live our lives almost completely severed from all of the people around us.
As the focus of my life changes, so of course do the focus of my creations also change. From mobile tiny home creation to taking you on the ins and outs of my new adventures in communal living. Learn along with me if you are someone who has ever wanted to take the dive into a new way of living.
I have only been living truly communally (instead of just existing as separate roommates) for a couple months now. But I already can tell this is the way I was meant to live. And I think so many people would be happier if they could live in groups too.
Alone we can go faster but together we can go further.
Joining Forces
As we surveyed all of our potential living options, we realized we didn’t want to go back to the traditional single family way of living. We wanted to join forces with another family instead.
We met Brooklyn and Bryce last summer at a family camping and music festival just outside of KC. Instant connection and recognition of soul tribe.
Brooklyn was 8 months pregnant and GLOWING with magical mama energy.
They were living in Minnesota at the time. Scraping by to barely afford their studio apartment that cost 1,200 a month to rent.
Bryce was working at a grocery store and Brooklyn was a waitress. They both lost their jobs in the COVID shut downs. And moved in with Brooklyn’s parents to wait out quarantine.
When we found out that they were in transition as well, we proposed the idea of getting a big house together to them.
They accepted.
What a wonderful transition it has been. We are all learning so much being in each other’s presence. And joining our consciousness powers together, manifestation has been happening SO QUICKLY. We are learning how powerful we really can be when we are open to working together with love and unity.
We are learning so much about trust and open communication. If people are open than there is no problem that cannot be solved through a good conversation.
Brooklyn is a stay at home mom as well. She had been feeling really stuck in the stay at home mom depression as well. We both had been calling out to each other in our own isolation for months. And finally here she was. A sister to share the work with. Just as I had prayed for.
Looking Forward
I am attempting to get back in the saddle of writing regularly again. But honestly, I have just been enjoying my life so much. As another blogger that I love would say “I have been too content for content.”
I’ll be keeping this sacred space to share when I am inspired to do so, but may not keep a regular schedule with my posts.
I have some fun ideas brewing like “An Introverts Guide to Communal Living”
But until next time, I’ll be radiating love to you all.
