Hello friends! Greetings from our new cozy home!
It is such a relief that the whirlwind of packing and moving and unpacking is finally done. Now we are all getting in the groove of our new living situation. And honestly, I am amazed we fit together so easily in such a small space. This house is very small: two bedrooms, one bathroom, no basement, no upper level. But when you got the right mix of individuals with so much love and laid back personalities, you discover how little space you actually need.
Here’s a Little Look at Our Life
One of the things I love most about this house is Caleb and Ashley painted each room a different bright, vibrant color. It feels like living in a piece of art.
We make dinner together almost every night. Cooking for a collective has been great for all of us, especially Brian. He has always been a kitchen wizard who loves sharing his delicious culinary creations. Also featured in this picture is our ginormous crock pot, pretty much the most essential appliance in the entire kitchen.
The kids have been so at home in the tiny office that Ashley and Caleb cleared out for a play area. I am so thankful that even though our house is small, my kids still have the space they need to freely play, create, and make happy messes.
Ashley decorated one of the walls in the playroom and I am SO IN LOVE with it. What an honor it is to live with friends who are so eager to support us raising conscious children who are in touch their spiritual super powers.
Caleb is really a kid at heart. Saphire absolutely loves when Caleb plays with him. So many tickles and giggles! Today Caleb delighted the kids by bringing a bowl full of snow inside for the them to play with. Since moving in Saphire has repeatedly declared that “Caleb is my best friend!”
Ashley has been spending a lot of time in her studio, a work room off of the garage that she converted into a cozy creative space. She has been cranking out tons of awesome clay creations for an upcoming craft fair.
And sometimes at the end of the day, after the kids are asleep, we heed the call of ancient tribal instincts that inspire us to gather around the fire. We venture out to the garage to sit on old couches huddled close to a wood burning stove. We watch the flames, relishing the comforting warmth of fire and good friends.
What a wonderful beginning to this epic endeavor we are going to embark on.
